ScrapOnline 25/02/2009

Tonight was another ScrapOnline.
Because Tiets just had surgery, Angelique took over.
It was a very nice sketch again.
Seeing as Im still in the Bittersweet mood its AGAIN this paper - I promise I'll start using other paper now :-)
Its the first time I used my Copics, so its not that good yet and I noticed the paper "bleeds" a little as well. But practice makes perfect, so I'll just start practising a lot!

Sponged Fishy

I'm so happy!
My Copics arrived today from England - gonna try these babies in a second.

Now for the card of today:
The challenge over at the High Hopes Challenge Blog is sponging this week, and I combined that with the sketch from Friday Sketchers.
So I decided to cut out a bit with my nestabilities, sponged it with Cranberry and then stamped a script over it with the same colour.

Now, coincidentally I was sorting my beads and it had brown and white pearls in it that fitted perfectly with the colours of the Bittersweet range. So I decided to add a few on the card instead of a text, since I didnt have a fitting one unfortunately.

On the dew drops I added some stickles to give them a little bit of extra sparkle.
It doenst show well on the picture but it looks really nice in real life!

Thanks for looking and all the lovely comments!

Love Piggy

The challenge over at the Basic Grey Challenge Blog is to use a certain colour combo.
One of them is pink/brown and that fits perfectly in the Bittersweet paper collection that I absolutely ADORE.
I got it today and just HAD to use it.

I've used the sparkly watercolours again.
They are really nice to use.
You can see their effect in the picture below.

Thanks for looking!

Whiff Of Joy Challenge

Finally time for a card...
We're preparing for a trip to Iceland, so its a bit hectic at the moment :-)

This one is for the Whiff of Joy Challenge, a lovely sketch from Katharina this time!

I couldnt find the right colour flowers, so I've painted fabric ones with a sparkly watercolour paint. It matches a lot better now :-)
I also dont have a scalloped punch or something, so I punched flowers instead and lined them up to make a sort of scalloped edge. I think it worked rather nice.

Melinda is coloured with Distress Inks and Adirondack inks.
Around her are a few splatters of the sparkly watercolours.
This close up shows a better view of it.

Thanks for looking!

ScrapOnline kaart

Stamp: Penny Black
Colouring: Distress Inks
Paper: Unknown
Embellishments: Prima Flowers, Dew Drops, Stickles

Again a ScrapOnline card.
In advance Tiets tells you what sizes to cut your cardstock, design paper and your print.
You colour it, sponge the edges, etc, etc and on the night itself Tiets tells you where to attach what.
Great fun to do!

This again is an older sketch - playing catch-up!

Cute Penny

The theme on Cute Card Thursday is Valentine and Love is in the Air for A Spoon Full of Sugar.
And I thought this Penny Black was very Valentiney :-)

Not sure if you can see, but at the ends of the floss there are little balls made of Liquid Pearls.

Stamp: Penny Black
Colouring: Distress Inks
Paper: Unknown
Embellishments: Prima Flowers, Ranger Liquid Pearls, Stickles, Scrappers Floss, Ribbon
